The creators of Battlefield set up their own studio producing online shooters. One of their first games will be The Finals – a battle royale title distinguished by natural destruction of the environment and skills that affect the players’ environment. It looks great in the first trailer.

In The Finals Mobile we watch the action from the first person perspective (FPP). The pillar of the game are multiplayer skirmishes, during which we fight for victory on various arenas. How we eliminate our opponents is entirely up to us. Although nothing stands in the way of focusing only on shooting and using various gadgets or sneaking up on enemies and killing them silently with melee weapons, the production allows us to be much more creative.
Arenas have been prepared in such a way that they can also be our weapons. Individual elements of the location are susceptible to destruction, which significantly increases the range of our possibilities. Since the spectacular knocking down of an entire building on someone’s head is much more appreciated by the viewers here than the standard emptying of the magazine, the calculation is obvious. However, it should be remembered that our opponents have exactly the same opportunities.
The Finals Mobile Gameplay
Embark Studios is developing several projects at the same time, one of the largest of which is The Finals. This is a first-person battle royale shooter that we will play for free, just like in Fortnite or Apex Legends. The production will debut only on next-gen consoles and personal computers. The first closed tests will start at the end of September, and The Finals will be fully released sometime in 2023.
Since the release of Call of Duty Warzone, I haven’t had the opportunity to play any battle royale creation interesting enough to be remembered. That is why I will gladly give The Finals a chance, which is distinguished by several interesting elements. First of all, the system of natural destruction of the environment, which we can see on the advertising material. There, the players successively demolish the tenement house, which loses subsequent walls and floors. It reminds you of the times of the sensational Bad Company 2.
Revolution in the battleground genre?
An interesting variation for the entire sub-genre will be the smaller scale of clashes. Instead of a dozen or so teams of several players, The Finals will feature only four groups, three daredevils each. In this way, the production of the creators of Battlefield turns a bit towards such shooters as Valorant, Overwatch or Call of Duty.
It will be tighter, more intense and more dynamic than in PUBG Battleground or Warzone. Not everyone will like it, but there’s one thing the game can’t deny: The Finals is something. You immediately feel that the producers have an interesting idea for the game and will not hesitate to implement it.
